Great Ocean Road

For the last part of our journey we rented a beautiful white car we named Blue Quasimodo. It took us half a day to get out of Adelaide (through the Adelaide Hills) and after some stops we arrived at an aboriginal centre near the Coorong. We were the only tourists there and had all the centre for ourself. So we cooked in the huge kitchen and watched videos (about aboriginal dreamtime) in the conference room. In the morning we visited the local museum. We learned more about aboriginal people here then in the aboriginal centre in Ayers Rock. In the Coorong we stopped to look at the pelicans in there breeding area.
On our way to the Grampians we passed the Blue -vulcano- Lake (it's blue). After a visit to the visitor centre of the Grampians to learn how they were created (the usual things ... erosion, erosion and erosion) and get a map we went out to discover. So we went to the balconees (real balcon in rock), the pinnacle (real pinnacle from rock), silent street (real small canyon of rock), elephant hide (real elephant -not- hiding in the rock), a waterfall (real cold made of water) and some lookouts. We liked it all. Specially when we saw an echidna in the bushes. We followed him/her for a while - cool!
The Great Ocean Road is great. High cliffs and high surfingwaves all the way. Look for yourself!

Are you happy?
